This is what happens to all our general waste!
We use our general waste bins almost every day, but most of us don’t realize that the bin liner also go to waste, normally to landfill and then gets blown away by the wind to the ocean.
Here are some alternatives instead of using plastic bin liners!
- Line your bin with newspaper or old scrap paper.
- Use a biodegradable bin liner like BioBag and lots of other brands.
- Reuse postage satchels (the packaging parcels come in) and line your bin with them.
- Reuse old plastic packaging to line your bin with.
- Put a bucket in your bin and wash it out after.
